"Georgetown Elementary School PTA recently sponsored Red Ribbon Week at Georgetown
Elementary during the week of October 19-24, 2009. The theme this year was "Dream, Believe, Achieve, Succeed--Making the Right Choice". The children,
in grades K-5, focused on how they could make a difference within themselves, in school, and in the community. On Tuesday, October 19. the children collected pennies
as part of the theme "Believe- Use Common Cents". Over 5700 coins (including nickles, dimes, and quarters) were
collected. The total amount the students raised in 1 day was $78.52. Georgetown Elementary students were proud to donate the
monies collected to the Aurora Interfaith Food Pantry. Georgetown students believed in making a difference and Making
the Right Choice!".
