On Thursday, August 26, 2010, the seventh and eight grade students of St. Paul Lutheran school in Aurora volunteered
to help with food distribution at the Constitution House Apartments on Aurora's West Side. The students
walked from the school to the apartments in the morning and met with representives from the Aurora Area Interfaith Food Pantry
to help senior citizens by carrying their food packages from the truck into their individual apartments. This is just
one of many ways students at St. Paul Lutheran School are encouraged to serve others in the community. The faculty and students
at St.Paul believe that when we serve others, we are also serving our Lord at the same time. The Kids were very happy to help,
and were excited to get to meet the senior citizens at the Constitution House. On the walk back to school, many were asking
when they would be able to help again. Overall, it was very rewarding and educational experience for the students, and just
a glimpse into what goes on at St. Paul Lutheran School throughout the course of the school year. (Submitted by Eric
Rogers, Seventh and Eight Grade Teacher at St. Paul Lutheran School)
