Howard Smith, a long-time volunteer at the Aurora Area Interfaith Pantry, was honored as a 2011 Community Champion Award Winner presented by the Compassion Foundation.  The Community Champions Recognition Dinner honored residents who, through their volunteer or work-related efforts, have strived to improve the quality of life in the community through giving their time, talent and energy.
