Pop-Up Market helps pantry bring food to Aurora area residents who have trouble getting around

Since 2013, the Aurora Area Interfaith Food Pantry has utilized the pop-up truck which was purchased by the Northern Illinois Food Bank.

The pantry pays a fee to the food bank for providing the truck and food.

“We saw that there was a need for food in the resident community,” Barraza said. “A lot of seniors are home bound and don’t have access to transportation.”

The pop-up markets are also “a great social gathering for them,” she added.
