Veterans In-Need

Hunger can affect anyone.

In 2019, nearly 3 million veterans and their families didn’t have enough to eat each month.  Veterans who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, female veterans, homeless and formerly homeless veterans, and veterans with serious mental illness have the highest risk of becoming food insecure.

This is why the Aurora Food Pantry is hosting special food distributions this year, just for active service members and veterans.  Our goal is to raise awareness of the Pantry among veterans, so they know where to go if they or a fellow veteran needs food assistance.

Memorial Day Pantry: May 28, 2021 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.

SERVING THOSE

WHO HAVE SERVED

Thanks to our community partnerships, every $1 you donate will provide $8 worth of food.  This means a $25 donation today, can feed a veteran for a month.

If you have few hours to spare, please consider donating your time.

If you would like to help the Pantry while remaining off-site, you can host a Food & Fund.  Empower your friends, neighbors, coworkers and schools to donate non-perishable goods and/or funds.
