A global generosity movement

GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world.

GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good.  Over the past eight years, it has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

Whether it’s making someone smile, helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving some of what we have to those who need our help, every act of generosity counts and everyone has something to give.  GivingTuesday strives to build a world in which the catalytic power of generosity is at the heart of the society we build together, unlocking dignity, opportunity and equity around the globe.

We, at the Aurora Food Pantry, hope that you choose to support our mission to end local hunger this GivingTuesday.  The Aurora Food Pantry strives to ensure that everyone has access to enough nourishing food, thereby helping our overall community stay healthy and productive.  We do this through our weekly food distributions, our pop-up pantries, our garden to table initiative, and special distributions.  We don’t forget about about the furry family members either!  In an effort to keep pets with their human families, we also have a monthly Pet Pantry program.

To support these programs and your community, please consider donating to the Aurora Food Pantry on Tuesday, December 1, 2020.

Thanks to our food rescue program, food bank partnership, volunteers,  fiscal responsibility and a generous matching donor, every $10 you donate to Aurora Food Pantry provides $160 worth of food this Giving Tuesday.

The Federal CARES Act passed last spring to stimulate the economy includes a tax provision that may benefit donors both large and small.  Learn more.
