Drive-Thru Distribution

Due to our roof replacement, we will be moving distribution from indoors to drive-through style. This will go into effect on Monday, June 6, 2022, and indoor distribution will resume on Monday, June 20, 2022. 

Evening Distribution

Evening distributions will happen on the third Tuesday of every month from 2:00-6:00 PM. Please note, that there will not be a distribution from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM on these dates.

Bookmobile Stops

The Aurora Public Library and the Aurora Food Pantry are teaming up to deliver books and food to families! The library and food pantry will be at Oak Park Elementary School every Monday (June 8 – August 8) from 10:45-11:30 AM. More Information & More Bookmobile Stops

Free Summer Camps

School is out for summer! This means it is time to sign up for summer youth camps. Check out these free camps and programs happening around the community! View Summer Camps

Summer Lunches & Snacks

Meals on the Move through the Northern Illinois Food Bank is a mobile route that provides Summer lunches to kids and teens, 18 and under, Monday-Friday at four different parks in Aurora. More Information

Senior Meal Distributions

State Representatives Barbara Hernandez, Keith Wheeler, Stephanie Kifowit, and the Kane Senior Council are hosting several senior meal distribution events throughout 2022.
 
These events are FREE and will take place at St. Athanasios Greek Orthodox Church, 1855 5th Ave in Aurora, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM.  Each registered senior will receive 5 frozen meals. 
 
This is an ongoing event, and there will be two meal distributions per month through October. Remaining meal distribution dates (all Mondays):

  • June 13th & 27th
  • July 11th & 25th 
  • August 8th & 22nd
  • September 12th & 26th
  • October 3rd & 24th

Registration is required, please contact the office of State Representative Barbara Hernandez at (630) 270-1848 at least 4 days in advance to register. Please state whether you are signing up for one date or for multiple dates.

Guest Booths at Distributions

Thursday, June 2, 2022 
Devoted Health – Healthcare provider. 
Two Rivers Head Start – Will be handing out information flyers about their programs. 
Aurora Public Library – Will be handing out information on literacy classes, ESL classes and more.

Monday, June 6, 2022 – Thursday, June 16, 2022

Monday, June 20, 2022 
Staff Management – Specializes in managing a contingent workforce at manufacturing, fulfillment and distribution facilities.
Oak Street Health – Provides personalized & accessible primary care for adults on Medicare. Make Oak Street Health your doctor’s office and get the compassionate care you deserve.

Tuesday, June 21, 2022 (Evening Distribution | 2:00-6:00 PM)

Fox Valley United Way (SPARK) – SPARK helps Aurora families furthest from opportunity with children age birth through five years old connect to early education and childcare that will prepare their children for success in life. We achieve this by building awareness and uniting efforts among families, funders, policymakers, program providers and the Aurora community.

Annual Radiothon and Pack the Pantry Party!

Join us Friday, July 8, 2022, for our all-day Radiothon! Hunger does not take the summer off! On average we feed 700 families a week and in 2022, due to rising costs, we have seen a 30% increased use of our services. Help us restock our shelves after the holidays and winter months!
